Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Forest Grove Christian Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Lance Walch, Pastor (with wife Jennifer)

Lance and Jennifer were hired as Youth Ministers in 2009.  However, Lance, feeling called into ministry, is now the full-time Pastor.  Lance and Jennifer have been involved in secular business for many years; as Lance was in management and Jennifer is a Physical Therapist assistant. The couple recently celebrated the birth of the their first son, Sam.  Even with the challenge of a new baby, they are extremely passionate about teaching and empowering the youth, as well as edifying and renewing the spirit of the church.

The Bible has a lot to say about leadership, and Ray’s role is to take those instructions and implement them in a way that matches the character of God. However, he does not accomplish this task alone as he is joined by the other board members, either current or on reserve. He works as an engineer for Luminant, an energy company in Texas.
